Enhancements

Microsoft Graph sendMail email integration

Cellosign can now deliver email through the Microsoft Graph sendMail API using OAuth2 App-Only (client credentials) authentication, as an alternative to classic SMTP.

This addresses Microsoft 365 organizations whose IT policy disables SMTP AUTH and does not permit SMTP relays. With this release, such organizations can deliver all Cellosign email types — invitations, reminders, result emails and failure notifications — through Microsoft Graph, using their own sender mailbox.

Highlights

  • New email integration mode: when adding an email integration, you can now choose Microsoft Graph sendMail alongside classic SMTP. The new mode is configured with a sender mailbox and an Azure AD credential selected from your project’s Secrets integrations.
  • OAuth2 client credentials: no SMTP username or password is stored. Cellosign acquires tokens from your Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID) tenant using a Microsoft Graph client-secret integration.
  • Large attachments supported: emails up to 15 MB are delivered automatically via the Microsoft Graph draft and upload-session flow.
  • System wide SMTP fallback: the existing fallback option is supported in the new mode. We strongly recommend enabling it so email delivery continues even if the Microsoft integration is unavailable.
  • Full audit visibility: token acquisitions and the result of every send (success or failure) are written to the project audit log, with recipient addresses masked.
  • Test action: the integration form includes an end-to-end test that acquires a token and sends a test email through Microsoft Graph to a recipient you specify.
