Database Task

The Database Task element reads or writes data that Cellosign stores for business processes, BPMN processes, forms and transactions, and then the process continues. Use it, for example, to count the open requests of a client or to save a value for later processes. It’s available when customer data is included in your organization’s plan.

To add one, drag Database Task from the palette. Its settings are on these tabs:

  • General: the ID and the Name shown on the canvas (default: “Database”).
  • Inputs: the data the task uses. See Inputs and data.
  • Database: what to read or write.
  • Outputs: the data that was read.
  • Multi Instance: shown only for a multi-instance element. See Repeat an element for each item.
